On 25 November 2021, Erin Pan, Project Manager at Rock Environment and Energy Institute (REEI), published the article entitled "How the World Can Move Beyond the Landfill of COVID-19 pandemic Protective Plastics: Exploring the Future of PPE Recycling through Innovation". The article outlines the challenges posed by the rapid growth of disposable personal protective equipment (PPE) since the outbreak of the pandemic in terms of plastic waste disposal. The article is included in the June 2022 issue of Environmental Economy under the title “Exploring a circular production path for the future PPE”.
