On 15 September 2018, China Environment published the article entitled “Energy Transition in the Transportation Sector: The Driving Role of Carbon Pricing” written by Lin Jiaqiao, Co-Director of REEI Environment and Energy Institute (REEI). The article examines the energy consumption and carbon emissions of China's transportation sector, especially road transport, and then discusses the implications of carbon pricing measures, such as carbon trading and carbon taxes, for China's energy transition in the transportation sector, using examples from California and Sweden.
